As you know, we freshmen in ICU are learning about bioethics in ELP classes these days. What I think is the most important is to have some image or opinions toward this topic in order to have some reactions to what we learn. This is why I decided to write about what I think of bioethics today.
I think "bio" mentions creatures and "ethics" morals. Therefore, "bioethics" may be the word that requres us to have some sense of moral toward life of creatures. Human beings has been developing technics related to sciences. Today some scientists try to develop some technologies on creatures. However, we have to consider deeply whether we truely have rights to distort the way some creatures naturally be by our artificial technologies.
We college students also have to think about this quesiton because we students are also members of human beings and human beings is nothing but creatures after all.

I want to write my opinion about bioethics.
Recently, because of development of technology, human being can many things which step in creatures, such as cloning, gene control and so on.
I think development of technology brings human being many benefits, indeed. However, too much development of technology may bring us the fact that technology controll every creatures. It is terrible for me.
So we should be careful to use technology effectively.
By the way, what is your topic of CM poster presentation?

I didn't konw anything about bioethics until I read winter term ELP, but I think it's interesting, and important topic to think about.
I totally agree with you taht most important thing is having some images or our own opinions toward it.

i think you shoud narrow down the bioethic to some specific eria. like bioethic OF clonig or something elso like that.
Acctually your statemants are talking about genetical eria's bioethic. maybe you should go that way.

my presentation will be about cloning. In RCA or ARW we have many discussions on cloning, so it is easy to talk about that!

i think topics concerned bioethics are the nicest theme of the all ELP topics. You will be come up with nice opinions as you continue to study about it in ELP classes!

thank you for advice. yeah, you are right. actually, i zm interested in the topic which discuss whether human beings have right to contol life or not. so i should narrow down a little bit!
